For this one I’m going to put on my soothsayer’s hat and talk about the incoming year and all that’s going to happen.

Let’s start with the most obvious one: Cave Digger 2 is going to be released! I’m not going to give out exact dates but let’s say spring. While there’s still a lot of work to be done, it’s nice being able to see the release content finally coming together.

At the moment we are working on the final biome: the Temple. It’s going to be fairly different compared to the earlier ones, both in gameplay and visual style. In this one the player will uncover the final mystery of the Valley and find out what really happened to Clayton. With a new biome come of course new enemies, but I’m not going to spoil those just yet.

And the game will be out on Quest! In the coming months the game will be playable on Quest AppLab as Early Access. We are enabling cross-play multiplayer between Steam users and Quest users. This is a stepping stone in getting on to the official Quest store, but a very important one still. I hope we’ll get a nice influx of new players with this release.

Also we’ll be out on the PlayStation! We’re currently getting a build ready for Sony’s QA testing. Naturally PSVR2 is included in our plans, will be interesting to try it out once we get a devkit.

So yeah, exciting times! This is the year of the release, the year all the hard work we put in last year pays off. I for one cannot wait!
