VRKiwi Oy (Mekiwi) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when you use our game Cave Digger on the Meta platform.
1. DATA PROCESSED THROUGH META PLATFORM FEATURES
When you use multiplayer or social features in the Game, the app requests certain Meta Platform Features via Meta’s Data Use Checkup (DUC).
1.1 Data Received from Meta
The Game may receive the following data from Meta:
- User ID (platform-specific identifier)
- User Profile information (e.g., display name)
- Friends list (limited to friends who also use the app)
- Invites data
- Matchmaking data
This data is provided by Meta solely to enable multiplayer and social gameplay features.
2. HOW THIS DATA IS USED
The above data is used exclusively to:
- Identify players in multiplayer sessions
- Display player names in-game
- Enable friend invitations
- Support matchmaking
We do NOT use this data for:
- Advertising
- Marketing
- Profiling
- Analytics
- Behavioral tracking
3. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION
We do not maintain any user database.
Meta platform data:
- Is processed temporarily in device memory and during active multiplayer sessions
- Is not stored on our servers
- Is not logged by us
- Is automatically discarded when the gameplay session ends
We do not retain personal data after a session ends.
4. MULTIPLAYER NETWORKING (PHOTON)
The Game uses Photon Engine (Photon Cloud) to provide real-time multiplayer functionality.
Photon processes session-based technical data necessary to establish and maintain multiplayer connections, which may include:
- IP address
- Connection metadata
- Platform User ID (if used for session identification)
This processing is limited to enabling real-time gameplay communication between players.
We do not control Photon’s independent data practices. For more information, please refer to Photon’s Privacy Policy.
Photon acts as a data processor providing networking infrastructure.
We do not receive or store separate logs from Photon.
5. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (EEA USERS)
For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the legal basis for temporary processing of platform and session data is:
- Performance of a contract (to provide multiplayer functionality)
- Legitimate interest (to enable core gameplay services)
6. DATA DELETION REQUESTS
Because we do not store personal data, there is no persistent user data to delete from our systems.
However, users may:
- Request confirmation regarding data processing
- Request deletion of any data we may have

If your request concerns data stored by Meta Platforms, you must submit your request directly to Meta.

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Game is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect or store personal data from children.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Game after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
